The Countdown

ok here we are just a few days from the movie opening and things are going fast. premiere, hop on the redeye, fill in for regis, do letterman---all to mobilize our people and our people's people to see this movie so we can make more and more of them and take mulder and scully into their old age. or close. did the press junkets this weekend, 10 hours a day of answering the same question and as i blabbed on and on i realized a couple things---this movie is really about the eternal balancing act of love and work, of passion for a goal or quest and passion for a man or woman----this is mulder and scully i'm talking about. this partnership plays out in a emotional way while they are tring to solve this freaky (my kids' word) mystery that may unravel and unravel them. the case pushes mulder away from scully but also toward her, love and work impossibly intertwined until a choice must be made. what is the choice? see the movie.

batman's got everybody scared that we can't do business, and well, it is some kind of a box office juggernaut. but i want to believe. i want to believe that our loyal fans will go see us right away (see some of you at the premiere tomorrow) and they will bring friends who never watched the x files and they will tell a friend and we will become viral and keep growing and hang on for weeks. a boy can dream. see you at the movies.

I just started watching The X FIles in April this year, and finished the DVD Box set (all 9 seasons and movie last week). I've seen the movie twice, and am pulling my friends along too.

You are amazing in the show, and we all are hoping this movie's box office take justifies another movie. We want to believe!

2012 needs a movie! If there is no movie, we will all either die, become hybrids, or become slaves to the colonizers. Help us Mulder!

Ok,so being in Ireland, I only saw the movie today and I realise I may be lynched for saying this but I was a bit disappointed with it.

Don't get me wrong, I was delighted to see Mulder and Scully back as they were - so often actors come back and play characters they played before and it doesn't work but it's as if you and Gillian never were away. It's a joy to watch.

I also thought Billy Connolly was quite good, though in what I thought was a limited enough role. The pedophile priest angle will definitely strike nerves over here and though I'm far from a religious person, I quite enjoyed the moralistic banter between he and Scully.

I guess in retrospect, the film does work well as a thriller but the one major problem I had with it personally, was the level of gore, which we had never really seen in the series apart from say Sanguinarium. I know the scriptwriting rule is "show, don't tell" but i always thought that some of the best X-Files episodes did the opposite and told rather than showed.
I suppose that was really my biggest problem was that in some way, it just didn't feel like the X-Files. Yes, it was Mulder and Scully but it was as if the characters had been transposed onto some other thriller film or series.

I think it will do well as a stand-alone thriller though. It has enough going on to ensure that. Sorry to leave such a long, babbling comment. Sorry also for being probably the first to have a niggle, but I'm the kind of person who says and types what I think!

I hope the movie does well and ensures more from this franchise. The last 6 years have been a little boring with the X-Files. Good Luck.

Hi David

I read a few articles stating you thought the final scene in the boat was silly? But you understood Chris's vision? I'm so with you on both counts. Also you'd like the third movie (fingers crossed there'll be one) to be closer to the series...YES! I really would love to see it revolve around the 2012 final invasion date, so long as it's not a remake of War Of The Worlds.

Little concerned about you after hearing rumours. Still tabloid press are well...tabloid press. But if you are feeling low remember every silver lining has a cloud...but that works BOTH ways! Hope my CD cheers you up (a bit.) :-)

Stay happy and keep safe!

well, tomorrow is the opening day here in puerto rico (thanks to dark knight !@#$%^&*). here it was supposed to open on july 24, but i was told by a theater manager that for whatever reason batman had to be moved to july 24 so they didn't want to have two big movies opening on the same day...so they decided to open iwtb tomorrow.

anyway, i've seen a loooooot of reviews, some good, some bad, and i think it comes to either you love it or you hate it. but as a big fan, i'm sure i'll love it ('cause i'm a big shipper!).

so i hope there's room for the third movie. for what i've seen, you guys want to do it, so let's hope you get to do it!

best wishes!

Just to let you know, I'm already working on the next generation of X-File fans. My 4 year old little girl told my husband, much to his chagrin, that "X-Fowls" is her favorite show! Although, I suspect it's actually Backyardigans. She's just trying to make me proud....which I am. :) She does watch it sometimes with me until there's too much dialog and she loses interest. She'll grow into it. ;)

Anyway, hope you have a good birthday! :)

Hi David! I was thrilled with the movie, I've seen it twice already. I used to be a huge X Files fan but for one reason or another i stopped watching. Life got in the way I suppose. I Want To Believe reignited (too dramatic?) my love for The X Files and I've started to rewatch the series.
Congratulations on accomplishing your goal, you pleased the fans. Hopefully more people will go see the it. Though the movie wasn't what I expected I found it intriguing, sophisticated, and altogether worth the twenty dollars I spent on my tickets. Thanks, not just for the movie, but for 9 years of a character we could love and believe in.

Dear Dave

After seeing the movie a second time (yesterday, and **HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY**) - I have had a change of heart. <3 I saw much more this time that I failed to the first time around. Maybe it was all the wild excitement at the premiere that put me off the full enjoyment of the film? I don't honestly know?? The connection I couldn't see between Mulder & Scully was definately there...as plain as day! Just don't understand why I didn't see it before - or where the heck my head was at? I even felt emotional this time, and was with those two every step of the way!

I now saw the whole concept of the story was about faith in whatever you believe? Scully was torn between her faith in science and god. Mulder was fueled by his faith in the unknown once more, and always will be. :-)

I still think the 'easter egg' was daft though. That hasn't changed in my eyes. LOL!

Anyway as I said before, I hope there'll be a chance for a third...with 2012 looming.

My non-fan friend enjoyed it and said she felt the tension strongly which creeped her out a bit! (She started liking you as an actor after I introduced her to 'Cali'.) Now I've started her on Season 1 of X Files and she's intending to watch the lot on my DVD player. Gives me an excuse to watch 1-9 again as well! I'm eventually going to show her HOD. Break her in gently. ;-)

Going to see IWTB one more time next week with a pal (who IS a fan.)

All the BEST!

PS: Got new legs yesterday and since I hadn't had them replaced for 14 years, it's proving difficult to get used to them. But I persevere! :-)

Happy Birthday!

I went to see the movie with mixed feelings- would it gell with the perception of the tv show that I have? Would Scully's new hair just completly throw me off? (For that matter, would Mulder's?)

BUT the answer is I loved it, will see it again, will purchase it on DVD, AND would love to see another made-think most fans will agree, so Great Job! AND didn't notice the hair, was too busy alternately covering my eyes, holding my breath, feeling sorry for Scully, going WTF over the stalker in the pool and laughing like a lunatic. XD

Cross fingers for a third one, thanks for the sneaky weird-but-somehow-cool bit at the end after the creds:)

Hi, David!
I didn't send you a happy birthday post, basically because I didn't know it was your birthday... but, still, I think it's never too late to give best wishes! So.. best wishes now, in your birthday, and in all the days of your life!^^
I saw some comments.. and I was just wondering how great it must be to recieve all this posts from people all over the world.. to recieve this positive feedback (that you really deserve) from your fans... Anyway.. I hope you had a great time in your birthday!
I saw the movie again, and it got really better! And, as some people already said, even my friends that had never watched XF before liked it! But I also missed some aspects of the series.. and I hope there will be a 3rd movie so we'll have it back!
For example.. Yesterday I saw a book that said something about what was going to happen in 2012... it was a religious book, and had nothing to do with The X-Files... and that made me curious.. and if I already wanted a 3rd movie before, I want it now more then ever! ;)
Now.. I know you're running out of time... but you've already got a lot of posts (494)... when are we going to see some you your oppinion again? Tell us about how you're felling about the feedback of the movie... or, if for some reason you're not authorized to say your oppinion, at least write a post saying "ok, guys, I can't say much right now. But I'll write something soon"... or anything like that! How did the movie go for the big guys on FOX? Tell us if we can also dream about a 3rd movie...
I've already asked twice now about you guys comming to South America, but if you're going to answer this posts, I guess it wouldn't hurt reminding you of this question again..^^
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey David,
I was finally able to go to the movie the other night, and I was thoroughly impressed with the acting, the style, and the story. A powerful study of our two favourite characters... well done! I am looking forward to more soon, and in the mean time, I will be having a fantastic time watching Californication (another kudos to you)!

Hi David,

Nailed it!!

Loved Chris idea of a stand alone episode, because he is planning 2012 right? ;)? That way things are better placed withouth get tired. Anyway beautiful movie, but the light, the fotography, i don't know the exact cinematografic term could need some fixing, because there was dark ok, but some contrast was needed. Nothing to do with you i know, great performance ;), but i suppose you dont like kiss asses to tell you that everything was perfect. The true love is to see defects and still love it. Anyway thats my only point finger. Rather than that small things YOU (all crew) NAILED IT!!! YOU (David-always my favourite) NAILED IT!

Mr Duchovny,

Not sure if you'll read this, but I just wanted to say a massive thank you for your generosity at the London premiere and taking the time to sign autographs for so many of us. I really appreciated it and I'm sure the hundreds (thousands even?) of other fans did as well. It was a fantastic day, with a great atmosphere, and you, Ms Anderson, Mr Carter and Mr Spotnitz made all the hours waiting worth it! I'll treasure my signed photo forever!

I really enjoyed the movie, and I hope another will be on the way some time soon!

Thanks again, all the best.

I am not to concerned if DD returns or not -- the man just moved his family 2000 miles, finished filming Californication Season 2 all awhile traveling the globe promoting XF2... Fuck - give the man a break.
It is just nice that X-Philes have this online community to come and share their thoughts, in peace, even if there is not another DD blog.

I liked the movie--then I had to go buy the whole collectors edition of all the movies from Canada(because Amazon.com was sold out of the version that wouldn't put me in the poorhouse). Of course, it took me 3 weeks to go see it--I think the other two couples in the theater enjoyed it ,too(it is a small town, and it was a weeknight).

what can I say? oh my, thank you!

It's kind weird so much dedication to a serie, to a fiction... maybe if we spend our strenght in another stuff...

but we that are here made a choice... i never regret of this...

I didn't see the movie the number of times that a wanted ou imagine, but still... Well, I don't believe that the number of times makes me a better fan...but the way it move on me... and this second time makes me sad, with a understanding of what is the end. Will it be the end? Six years ago I thought this way...but my faith, my heart never forget. Never give up...

how i said before, its kind weird say or write words like these, but it doesn't matter. Just because I fallen in love for this show and this show gave me a hole new world...

well, thanks David...and for the other guys too... thank you...

Thank you so much for an awesome movie David...thanks to you, Gillian, and Chris Carter! I'm rooting for another movie. Come on, there's so much left unsaid and unsolved! Such as, baby William is supposed to have the power to stop the alien invasion....so he HAS to come back!

Oooh, which brings me a question I've wanted to ask. Now that Mulder is forgiven for his "crime", I'm guessing he can officially come out of hiding now, and get back to work. What do you see (in your opinion) Mulder doing with the rest of his life? What type of job would he have? I can't imagine Mulder letting Scully have the career and never doing ANYTHING again - personally, I'd go CRAZY if I didn't have something to do, and Mulder seems a bit like me in how manic he can be.

I personally loved that the new movie was more about Mulder and Scully as a man and woman, rather than just about the case.

The only reason Batman is doing any good is because of Heath Ledger. I saw it the week it came out with my fiance, and I really wasn't that impressed. It just kept dragging on and on, and really wasn't that interesting unless Heath was on the screen.

Teondiro said...

The movie was awesome to say the least. Wrote a whole review about it in fact that I felt compelled to post on myspace. I tried to leave my expectations at home because I had none when I was awed by the first episode I ever watched. I went to see "I Want to Believe" twice and enjoyed it even more the second time. The story has shown growth in directions that make sense and feel natural in light of the story that has come before. At the same time, the undertone is the same if you know what I mean. To me, this growth is what makes it still The X-Files and hence it is enjoyable, though-provoking, and full of heart in the same way that my favorite story has always been. I would welcome more movies. I believe in Mulder and Scully (meaning everyone that brings them to us).

David, I found this blog after the 7th, but wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday anyway, belated as it may be. Happy Belated Birthday to Gillian as well.

I was extremely impressed with the movie - especially at you and Gillian, and how you made these characters the same as the ones we loved so much, yet also developed them and let them evolve to how they would actually be six years on. It worked perfectly and I still smile when I think of their relationship and how it's progressed. It was so amazing to see Mulder and Scully onscreen again. And it would be amazing if we could have that experience repeated in a few years.

After the movie was over, I went and bought the DVDs of the show. Hopefully the movie will encourage people who haven't seen the show yet to do the same.

Hi David,

I finally got to watch the movie.
Honestly the story wasn't what i have expected - but overall it was still good. I've been watching season 4's re run on cable - comparing it to what i've just seen at the movie - the chemistry between you and gillian still remained and has escalated into a more mature level.

Please thank mark snow for a marvelous score.

Honestly, if the movie was the last sequel, the ending was perfectly fine. (specially the post credit thing) If it ain't then we'll we waiting for it.

Couldn't you tell he was saying goodbye in his post? Wasn't that perfectly clear? DD doesn't really like to blog, but does it to promote the film.

I peek in occasionally to see if the place is still active and feel badly for the fans who still post and believe he's reading any of this.

He's long gone and on vacation.

Sorry kiddos.

Sorry, but if David didn't really want to Blog he wouldn't have bothered at all. Believe me when I tell you I know he loves communicating with folks online (well he used to anyway ;-) Also even if I wasn't contributing any more I'd still be well curious to read what fans have to say about IWTB. So when he's had his well earned rest he'll check this out again. Unless of course he took his laptop with him. LOL!

So when he does...

David,

some folks at XFU have come up with a terrific idea for the fab four (you, Gillian, Chris and Frank I mean :-) Fans are going to contribute thank you's in any form of artistic way they feel, eg: videos, art, graphics etc. I've been working on poetry. Here's one I'd like to share that I wrote many years ago. Just felt it says it all really...

LIFE IS BUT A PLAY

We are but tiny specks of dust
In an infinate Universe
Our problems seem so futile
Yet we rehearse and we rehearse
Just like an actor in a play
We strive to get things right
We argue; we manipulate
And give with all our might!
We cause much pain and suffering
We cut and then we bleed
But time and space goes on and on...
Just like love - which is all we need!

Take Care!

Response:
Okay. I get what this is. I get why you enjoy going into malls at Christmas and telling all the children that Santa does not exist.... You were not invited to Bobby Fasset's birthday party.
Remember...back in second grade? You were the only person not invited to the cool kids' table and it pissed you off. And as time went on, Bobby became very successful. I would even bet they called him the "Golden Boy". When you saw how popular "Golden Boy" was, you, my friend, had to face your own mediocrity.
Not liking what you saw, you decided, then, to spit into everyone's else Fruit Loops until death-do-us-part.

So, "mulder", when you feel that you have dashed everyone's expectations on this blog, what's next Mr. Doom and Gloom? Leave these very nice people alone, okay? I am sure that are more productive things you can be doing like locating Bobby and having a group hug or something.

PS I apologize to DD and the fans for who are reading this dialog, but I can not ignore Cyber or any other kind bullies.

Penny/Songbird:

David SAID he does not like to blog. He said this during a public appearance and in my presence. He's only done this because it was in his contract to promote this film. He's done. Not coming back.

But, Penny, you were blathering at him for nearly a year after he stopped posting at his House of D blog and the Trust the Man blog. Think of all the time you spent trying to impress your fantasy man when you could've been living your life.

Deborah:
You're obviously still traumatized by those events from your childhood. Mine was filled with birthday parties and fun. Get help. But not from David. He's offline. At the beach. With his family. Living his life.

Try it sometime.
Toodles.

As I fan since the begining I just can say that I loved the movie and that is a movie for fans and not to the ordinary onlooker. In this way the box office wasn´t great. And today I read in a brazilian site that FS and CC are writing a new script to a movie that should be launched only in DVD because of this box office thing. Is that true??? When this might happen??? I know that is less then a month from IWTB launched.

Unknown said...

It's not true, Danielle.

Frank answered the question on Monday on his blog...

STRAIGHT TO DVD RUMOR (DEBUNKED)
I just heard a rumor about a possible 3rd "X-Files" movie that is supposed to be released straight to DVD. Please tell me this is just a rumor? Don’t get me wrong, I love "The X-Files" and I loved the 2nd movie but do you really have the intention to create a 3rd low-budget movie that will probably be ignored because straight to DVD-releases are in general regarded as lower-class movies? I’d hate to see my favorite show ever to go down this route. It deserves more, and if Fox isn’t willed to produce a 3rd movie for the cinema, I would at least hope to see a very good made-for-television movie or a miniseries. Because to see "The X-Files" released straight to DVD would just hurt my heart.
Lots of greetings
Marion,
Germany

Don't worry, Marion -- the rumor is false. The Internet report you read is completely made up.

"Mulder" is telling everybody DD is long gone and posting is no use but in the mean time she's the one posting most. Asking for attention "Mulder"?

Unknown said...

No, Linda.

I get plenty of attention in real life. But if you ask me a question, even a snarky rhetorical one, I may pop up and answer.

Unknown said...

Hi, David!

Congratulation on IWTB! Good to see you and Gillian on screen again. I've seen the movie and I agree with the "just okay" comments about IWTB by the X-File fans (including me) in the Internet.

Well, I think you and Gillian owe your fans another X-File 3, etc. plus maybe a romantic-comedy movie featuring you and Gillian as the lead actor/actress.

I think both you and Gillian are the most romantic couples whether on screen or behind the screen. This is to prove that both of you can be somebody else rather than Mulder and Scully.

Anyway, Mulder and Scully are you and Gillian forever.

Hi Penny,

Thanks for the link to the Trust the Man blog - fun reading. As a (sometime) writer, I used to be very anti-blog. Now I can see the value of them, though. at least for articulate celebrities. I mean, interviews are edited and cut up while blogs are undistilled and, in some ways, more real.

I am still hoping someone saved the House of D blog (maybe as a Word file?) If anyone has got it, please let me know. Thanks

Hey Caroline,

Glad you found the HOD Blog another way! :-) He reached out to us all to help him advertise his movie as he wasn't getting much help from Hollyweird! The way the US critics treated his film was despicable! :-( But as a comfort least he knows it reached the right people (the ones he made it for!) Were you able to access his voice mails? From those you can see how moved he was from the experience and even then was planning to return. :-) The man tends to mean what he says - as he followed up with TTM and now X Files. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of him? LOL!

I get the feeling he's happier in cyberspace than actually being present at events. :-)

The show was always a part of my life, I grew up with Mulder & Scully. They characters gave me strengh when I was down. When I was seventeen, I got anorexic, and do you know what helped me? I watched the show, especially Season 4, I saw Scullys fight against the cancer, and i became stronger through this. I learned not to give up. It was really a big help for me. I just want to say thank you and want to let you know, that TXF are not just a show for me, its more than this.

Glad to hear the movie is doing great here in Peru, it's been number 1 all weekend (premiered just this thursday), on that day it had 8 000 viewers, which is a lot for a country that lives of piracy. Fake dvd's cost 1 dollar 50 cents, and movie tickets cost over 5 dollars.

Really looking forward for a 3rd movie, see story line continued!! & some mithology !

Most of the major movie houses has ceased showing the film. Im not losing hope. Im gonna try to watch the movie for the 3rd time.

I got to watch californication, for a conservative country that im in..its no wonder its not being shown here..even in cable =)

Just read the HOD blog archives....

So it's been a little over 3 years, how do you feel about it's impact now? It was sad to hear the disappointment in your words. I have recently experienced the same thing--a solo exhibit that didn't get the exposure or response that I had hoped for a project that I poured my heart into.

But reading your HOD blog made me realize that my exhibit was still a success. It may not have made the art column or gone national (yet-I still want to believe) but it DID touch the people who DID come out to see it. I went back today and re-read the comments from the kids who came to the exhibit and realized what a smashing success it was, in it's own "Little Engine that Could" kind of way. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

It is evident in your work that you pour your heart into each and every project. No matter what the box office or the critics say, you HAVE found an audience. I'd like to think of it as an intelligient, introspective audience. One that appreciates the passion, enthusiasm and humanity that you put into your work. Keep doing what you do and ignore the bs.

Even if you are finished with this blog, I still hope you occasionally come back to read comments so you know that you made a difference to me today.

Hello David,
i just wanted to say that my thoughts are with you and your family.

i'm not quite sure how i feel about "sex addiction" in terms of what it really is or means but i do want to say that i hope you find the peace and the help that you need to come out of this feeling better.

we all have our struggles and our battles that we sometimes have to face and the choices we make in trying to overcome them is what matters.

love you and wish you all the best

Hi David,

Just wanted to say you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time in your life. I don't know if you believe in God, but I do know that He believes in you and has a plan and purpose for you. And nothing is too difficult for Him. I can only speak from personal experience and from my heart. That's how I know these things to be true. Don't ever doubt that He is working for you, no matter what. God bless you and your family. You are very much loved.

David--
Thank you so much for all the years of entertainment! I love X-files, and I went to see the movie the very first day it was out and brought five friends with me. I went and saw it three more times. I loved seeing how Mulder and Scully developed over time, and the question of stem cell research and it's benefits was a GREAT part of the movie. You and Gillian looked amazing! I LOVED your TV Guide cover too!
I've always read how grueling it was to work on X-files everyday, but I just HAVE to thank you and everyone else who made the show possible for the fans!!
And I just have to tell you how BRILLIANT your new show Californication is in every way! I know this isn't a blog for that, but I must thank you! In fact, I have always loved your work, especially House of D, and Return to Me, but PLEASE don't ever stop!! And from the bottom of my heart, I believe that you are the GREATEST actor on EARTH! You're brilliant!

Yours Truly--
Shalla

I would just like to say first, thank you so much for every part you've ever played. I am a HUGE fan of X-files and I went to see the movie the day it premiered, and brought four friends, and two younger siblings. We all loved it! I went to see it three more times. I absolutely loved how Mulder and Scully's characters had developed after all that time. I thought it was wonderful that the question of stem cell research and it's benefits was brought to the table. You and Gillian just lit up the screen! I LOVED you TV guide cover too. Great work!!!
I know that everyone has read how grueling it was to work on the set of X-files. I would just like to say thank you, so very much for all your hard work, and to everyone who made the show possible for the fans!!

I also must tell you how BRILLIANT I feel that Californication is in every way. The cast is amazing! I am so excited to see the second season and what has happened to Hank and Karen since the last season.

I think your acting is BRILLIANT, and from the bottom of my heart, I do feel that you are the greatest actor on Earth!! Are you ever going to direct another movie? House of D was such a GREAT movie! Everyone whom I've watched it with just loves it!

Do you think it is weird that I am so fond of someone whom I've never met in person? Maybe I've never actually met you, but I am so in love, like I've never loved anyone. I'm apologize if that is weird for me to say, but it's true. I know you have a WONDERFUL family, but you are loved by so many others too!! Thank you so very much for all the work you have done, and for the future works as well!
I hope you feel better soon. Take care!
All My Love~~
~~Shalla

Dear David,

I only stumbled onto this blogspot of yours last week. So unfortunately my first post is not such a happy one.

You’re going through a difficult time now.

Be strong. I believe you will get through this. You’ve already managed to do that very first (and most important) step, by saying, I have a problem. And you did it publicly. Not many people would do that. You are breaking a big taboo here, which will make it easier for other people with addiction problems of any kind to admit it themselves.

I wish you and your family all the best, and I hope that in your next blog you can honestly say that you feel better.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Lael

P.S.: Just watched the first two episodes of Californication. It’s the best thing I’ve seen in a very long time!

David,
At the off chance you might still be reading this or come back to read this, I am leaving this note to let you know I am one of many wishing you well and hoping you are doing alright. I have read a lot of things and obviously don't really know what's going on with you right now, but I think you're extremely brave. You mean a helluva lot to me (I venture to say you mean the world to me) and, I can see, to a lot of people. I'm there with you in my heart always no matter what. Whatever you're going through, you will pull through it (if you haven't already ;)

I wish the best of life to you and your wonderful family and I send you my love,

Tessia

P.S. I also watched the first two episodes of the second season of Californication and it continues to be awesome. Fun, poignant, full of wisdoms, and roll on the floor funny.

Hi David,

I never watched many episodes when your show was on because I always wanted to start at the beginning and felt that I missed too much. In a mad rush to watch all nine seasons before your movie was released I started watching season 1 at the beginning of July. I completed all nine seasons this past Tuesday and I must say it was the greatest television show I've ever watched. I followed it up on Wednesday by watching the movie! I was touched to see Mulder and Scully back on the screen again because I fell in love with them during the show.

Watching the X-files for two months straight with my girlfriend was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Much like Scully and Mulder we are best friends and watching your show was our adventure!

Thank you David for your gift to the world, I pray that you will do another X-files film.

Ted

Wow, I would imagine you're a little creeped out by some of these "too-familiar-for-never-having-met-you" comments. I know I would be.

I just wanted to let you know that you have contributed to my life - through your work - in a positive way, and I wanted to thank you for that. ...and wish you well.
